About

I'm a product designer, software engineer, and motion graphic designer with 15 years of experience, mostly at early-stage startups. I've worked at Splice, Universe, and Kickstarter, where I was hired as the first product designer and front-end engineer in 2010.

In 2013 I co-founded Jukely, a startup helping people see more live music. We went through TechStars NYC that spring. It got me deeply interested in product strategy, distribution, and growth, and in how product companies actually get built.

I have a B.A. in Motion Graphic Design from Expression College (2009). Did motion graphics for the visual identity of Build (2011) and XOXO (2012). Animation is still a core part of how I work, and shows up in the products I design.

I've spent most of my career building tools and communities for creators. I've found the best software comes from designers and engineers building things together, not from handoffs across teams. That's the kind of role I look for. Currently at Stationhead.

Outside of work, I'm a husband, new dad, and stepdad. You'll usually find me with my family and our two french bulldogs (Zoë and Ivy), tending to my plants, or in the kitchen cooking up something delicious.
